Singapore is a strict society but it is slowly (very slowly) opening up and there is a nightlife there. You’ll find Singapore a multi-cultural nation with people from all corners of the globe and all walks of life. There are not many teaching English jobs in Singapore outside the public schools and international schools. People who tend to teach English here are older and a bit more settled. Most of the young teachers interested in partying tend to go to nearby Thailand.

Basic information about Singapore: Singapore is known world wide for tough laws and strict society. There really isn’t much of a social life here like there is in other countries. There are clubs and places to drink but in terms of being a cultural center, Singapore is not one.

Salaries for teaching in Singapore:

Requirements for Singapore: If you wish to teach English in Singapore, you will need a BA from an university as well as a TEFL and some job experience.

Visa Rules for Singapore: Visa rules are standard issue here. Work permit is required and there’s no “under the table” work going on. Singapore is a strict country all around and their visa process is no exception.
